October and November BOTM: City of Ghosts

In honor of Halloween season, our BOTM (Book of the Month) for October and November will be City of Ghosts by Victoria Schwab. The novel takes place in an old city, Edinburgh, and though it is a middle school reading level novel, it is an interesting read, enough to give you the chills. The main character, Cassidy Blake, can see ghosts and she attempts to navigate this curse (or could it be a gift?). She starts travelling with her family to the most haunted places in the world and, as you can imagine, runs into tons of ghosts. Communicating with ghosts is no walk in the park and she encounters another girl that communicates with ghosts like her. Her adventures and hooking and will definitley give you the start you need to spooky Halloween season this year!
