June and July BOTM: The Hunger Games

Our next BOTM (Book of the Month) is ironically going to be the book of two months, covering both June and July due to the books length. The book series is The Hunger Games, by Suzanne Collins. It is a set of famous young adult dystopian novels published in 2008. The world-wide bestsellers are thrilling, adventurous, and a read that you won't be able to drop.

It is written in the perspective of Katniss Everdeen and takes place in the future. In a book where the only option other than survival is death, the world is dangerous and cruel. When Katniss steps forward to take her sister's place in the chosen games, everyone believes that she had signed her death sentence. When being thrown into the harsh playing field, she has to make choices from life, humanity, and love.
